I played every game in the series, so I got some ideas on how to make X9.

First off, two versions, one is done in the manner of X8 (exept the bike parts are more like X4), the other, called Mega man X9 classic, is the same game, exept done in the graphics of X1-3 (this version would most likely be a Wii exclusive).

The story involves X retiring a new group of Mavericks called the Neo Mavericks, who's lead by a flawed clone of X, after the discovery of a power source called Dark Cristals. He also faces off against an old machine called Ragnarok, who claimes that he's X's brother.

The Neo Mavericks include:
Sand Snake (50% reploid, 50% Sandman) [link]

Slice N' Dice (Cut Man Mrk2) [link]
Boulder Smasher (Guts Man if he had rocks for shoulders and an Arnold Schwarzenegger like accent) [link]

Frezzy the Iceman (Imagine Freeze Man, only just his skeleton, you should have the just of it.) [link]
Flame lightnix (essencaly Heatman and his net navi counterpart mixed together) [link]

After he kills the Neo mavericks, X has to deal with 8 of the Robot masters from the classic series (Oil man, Quick Man, Shadow Man, Skull Man, Gravity Man, Knight Man, Turbo Man (who says Transformers-ish lines and is collored Red and Blue) and Astro man) he also gains the weapons gained in the classic series by defeating him (the 8 Neo Maverick weapons, plus 8 Robot Master Weapons)

after he's killed 16 total, X goes to the final stages. The bosses include:

note: While Sigma does apear, it's only in one cutscene, and just to give X a buster part needed to kill final boss. (well mabey as downloadable content he may be in an extra stage)

Only X and Ragnarok (after beating the game) are playable (although X does get a Z-saber like in X6) Vile and Sigma may be playable via downloading them. Although the other characters from the series (Alia, Signas, Axl, Zero, etc) apear. Dr. Light will have the same role as in other games, giving armour parts to X. if playing as Ragnarok, Protoman apears in Lights place, giving hints and espasition.

Speaking of Light and armour parts, I disided the armour system works like X5 and 6 where there's two armours, 4 capsuls will be in the Neo Maverick stages, and 4 will be in he Robot Master stages. However, he will be able to equip each part seperatly, the only draw back is that obtaining one part of armour for the armour you're not using causes you to lose access to the armour you had before obtaining the new peice (for example, finding the leg parts of the feral armour with the leg and arm parts of the mech armour results in X only using the Feral leg parts for the rest of the stage) The 2 armours include the Mach armour [link] , and the Feral Armour [link] .

Ragnarock is meant sort of a menter to X, fighting him in the opening stage (in a fixed fight that neither one can win) giving hints of the boss weaknesses, apearing as minibosses in the Robot Master stages, reinacting said bosses attack stratigy (for example, in Turbo man's stage, he would perform the attack pattern Turbo man used in Megaman 7) and apearing as a fortress boss, using the attacks from his miniboss fights simular to Zant from Twilight princess, alwell as him doubled ended laser scythe and palm-shot energy spheres. Playing as him is like using Zero from X6, exept he only gain wepons from the robot masters (he gains technics from the Neo Mavericks though).
